- Once the tray is fully open, locate the Naloxone nasal spray.
- Carefully remove the nasal spray from the tray, ensuring you do not damage the device.
- Administer the Naloxone Nasal Spray:

- Tilting the person’s head back and providing support under the neck with your hand.
- Inserting the nozzle of the Naloxone nasal spray into one nostril.
- Pressing the plunger firmly to release the dose of naloxone into the nostril.
- Follow the instructions provided with the Naloxone nasal spray for proper administration. Generally, this involves:
- Call Emergency Services:
- After administering Naloxone, immediately call emergency services (911) for further medical assistance.
- If the person does not respond within 2-3 minutes, administer a second dose if available, using a new nasal spray.
- Stay with the person until 911 responders arrive.
By following these steps, you can effectively use the Naloxone dispenser to provide critical assistance during an opioid overdose emergency.
